Nothing is new under the sun!
There is nothing new under the sun. This statement is mostly used to shut down ideas or to prove to people that they are not as special as they thought.
Like “dude i’m not impressed”
It may be true there’s nothing new under the sun but it’s also true that you are special. It is still genius to create a new way of doing old things. As a matter of fact, the world has gotten to where it is by people who constantly think of how to do things better than their predecessors.
As an entrepreneur trying to create innovations with Technology, it is important to note that what you can change is how things are done and how problems are solved and not the reason for the existence of the need in the first place. Facebook did not tell people why they need to connect with family and friends irrespective of distance but it shows people how to connect better in that situation. Even the latest feat, space exploration isn’t telling man why we need to see what’s out there but rather reminding us that as humans, we are explorers and that is how we filled up the earth’s surface, by constantly discovering new land, heights and depths.
Knowing this, it helps you to stop trying too hard but rather derive solutions from what people or groups normally need.

My team and I had built Traindemy an EdTech product. What we learnt from building and selling this was that “don’t dump features on people.” At the time we had built 2 separate applications for e-learning and assessment respectively. We had come to the conclusion that our solution: online learning for vocational and technical skills had come too early. We were at the point of pivoting our model because of sustainability. We were not about to do anything that was ahead of its time anymore lol. So we used the principle of “there’s nothing new under the sun” and we created GreenBii.
Greenbii is reinventing Enterprise Resource Planning for businesses by giving them access to a variety of software solutions they need to run, manage and grow their businesses. Currently focused on customer engagement, GreenBii’s app marketplace is the playstore for Enterprise apps.
Going live in September 6th, 2021, we have shipped our product to users in Nigeria and South Africa. The flagship app is the Business L&D that helps businesses and organizations organize on-boarding, product education and staff upskilling processes.
Nothing is new under the sun but i’m pretty sure the sun is really excited to see GreenBii.
